“As a child, I found comfort in going to school. My love for education began in first grade. Ms. Taylor, had demonstrated her affection and enthusiasm for teaching and had encouraged me to get involved. Having had such a dedicated teacher early on, structured my ways of pursuing new adventures with a more positive outlook. As years passed, I realized that dedication amongst the teachers towards the students did not just stop at first grade. Each teacher had showed an immense amount of passion in teaching that would shape the person I am today.
This fall, I will be attending Concordia University Chicago. I will be a member of the distinct honors program, majoring in Spanish. Since Concordia is an accredited school for those who wish to become teachers, I found it as the perfect school for me! With a degree in Spanish, I hope to also earn a degree in early childhood education, so that I can teach at a primary school. Becoming a teacher will allow me to share my love for others and my ambition for education to strive through. I hope to one day have the same affect on my students, as my teachers had on me. “
